Seeking an experienced Patent Prosecution Paralegal, able to assist the supervising attorneys in the Boulder, CO office with the management of large domestic and foreign patent portfolios. The paralegal can be located within commuting distance to any of the Firm’s 30+ offices. Strong writing and communication skills required, as well as strong attention to detail and ability to take ownership of large docket. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Excel) required. Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of relevant experience. The candidate will be expected to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. The firm is offering a hybrid work schedule for paralegals.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage domestic and foreign patent portfolios of all sizes, including filing applications with the USPTO and through WIPO/PCT
Prepare filing instructions to foreign associates for filing of foreign patent applications
Assist the supervising attorneys to ensure that all docket dates and all related patent deadlines are met
Correspond with clients as well as foreign counsel
Work and communicate with Docketing to keep docket system current
Prepare foreign filing cost estimates
Arrange for the legalization of documents
Prepare and maintain status reports
Conduct domestic and international patent research, prosecution and maintenance
Assist in the management of annuity deadlines
Prepare patent filing documents and assignments
Timely filing of all correspondence in the document management system
Corroborate with other patent paralegals and legal practice assistants
Manage additional projects and tasks as assigned
Bachelor’s degree and/or a paralegal certificate is required.

The salary range for this role is $75,000 – $100,000 and represents the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications and location.
